Roy Keane has urged Marcus Rashford not to forget that football comes first after the Man United forward was spotted in a Belfast nightclub last week before missing training.
Footage on social media emerged showing the 26-year-old entering the Thompsons Garage nightclub in Belfast, before missing a training session at Carrington on Friday morning.
Erik ten Hag had stated that the official reason for his absence was due to 'illness' with reports claiming Rashford had gone on a '12-hour tequila bender' and had subsequently angered several of his team-mates after being absent from training.
The forward has now 'taken responsibility' for the incident but former United captain, Keane, has urged Rashford to focus on his football.
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, brought to you by Sky Bet, Keane said: 'We talk about him [Marcus Rashford], he's a young lad, lots of pressure and he's local, but it doesn't look like he's enjoying his football anymore.
'It goes hand in hand, what is happening off the pitch and on it.
'Football looks like it's a chore to him, and it shouldn't be. There's pressure on everybody there, but he's a big player for Manchester United. He's shown before that he can produce.
He added: 'The cars, the watches, all that is great, but don't forget what comes first – your football. Good luck with all that other stuff, but if that is becoming more important than your football, then you're in trouble.'
Rashford was not selected for Man United's 4-2 FA Cup fourth-round victory against Newport County and his agent brother Dwaine Maynard holding talks with the Man United boss on Monday.
