Arsenal have been told that a move for Marcus Rashford would be an «excellent option» — but only if the 26-year-old can strike a balance between his professional and personal life.
Rashford scored 30 goals across all competitions for Manchester United last season but has struggled to replicate that form this time around, finding the net just five times for Erik ten Hag's side after signing a lucrative five-year contract last summer.
The 26-year-old was recently fined two weeks' wages by United and dropped for the FA Cup win at Newport County after he was pictured clubbing in Belfast, Northern Ireland just hours before calling in sick to training.
In the weeks since the disciplinary matter, the England international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal all reportedly monitoring his situation.
But former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit believes a move to the Emirates could be good for both Arsenal and Rashford, but only if he is given the support to return to the heights he set last season.
