Chelsea have a number of injury doubts for this evening's Premier League clash against Newcastle United. Mauricio Pochettino has been plagued by issues in his squad throughout his first season in charge at Stamford Bridge with another two fresh blows hitting the Chelsea boss in recent days.
Both Ben Chilwell and Levi Colwill were added to Chelsea's injury report with Pochettino then confirming the duo's issues in a press conference. Reece James and Christopher Nkunku lead the marquee names on that list with Benoit Badiashile perhaps the only player close to returning soon.
Newcastle have also been hit by injuries this season with Kieran Trippier the latest absentee and he is therefore expected to miss the game in west London. Conor Gallagher is also a slight doubt for the clash under the lights, however Pochettino will be hoping he is able to make the game.

In an injury update posted on the club's official website, it was confirmed that the left-back is «undergoing specialist medical assessment» due to a knee issue. Pochettino has confirmed it happened after the Brentford game.

What Pochettino has said: «We need to wait until he sees the specialist. I cannot go in advance. I hope it's not a big issue but after eight or nine months here at the club, I prefer to wait.»
Gallagher has been a regular for Chelsea this season and played against Brentford. Pochettino revealed that he is suffering from illness though.
