Raging Kevin De Bruyne hit out at Pep Guardiola after the Manchester City boss subbed him off at Liverpool.
The midfield dynamo was replaced on 69 minutes for Mateo Kovacic with the score level between the English Premier League powerhouses. The Belgium star has had an injury plagued campaign to date with an extended spell on the treatment table but has started to return to the fold over recent weeks and has completed 90 minutes on more than one occasion including the derby win over Manchester United.
However, as Guardiola shuffled his pack as he aimed for that all important winner, he decided the 32-year-old was the one he would replace with the midfielder bemused by the decision. After a handshake with his boss he could be seen having a couple of words and pointing out towards the pitch before making his way towards the bench. The duo then had further talks on the sidelines with De Bruyne clearly not amused by the call.
Liverpool and City are involved in an exciting title fight alongside Arsenal with just 10 games of the campaign to go. Today's meeting at Anfield could be the potential last battle in England between Guardiola and Klopp after a brilliant dugout rivalry over the years.
