Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall proved to be a cut above after sparing Leicester's blushes in their first game back in the Championship.
The Foxes were playing their first game of the new season after relegation from the Premier League last term.
Facing Coventry at the King Power Stadium, Dewsbury-Hall scored a late double to earn a 2-1 win following Kyle McFadzean's opener for the Sky Blues.
It meant that Leicester's EFL campaign got off to a strong start, despite not having things entirely their own way during the 90 minutes.
As for Dewsbury-Hall, he was the star of the show and the caliber of his display did not go unnoticed.
After losing stars such as James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Jonny Evans and Youri Tielemans this summer, the stage is set for the 24-year-old to become a real star under Enzo Maresca.
Despite links with Liverpool, Dewsbury-Hall has the potential to take the Championship by storm this season, something that isn't lost on supporters who were clearly very impressed with the quality of his performance and two goals.
One supporter said: «Make him captain and build the team around him now!»
Another said: «He's clearly one or two levels above this league.»
A third fan said: «Liverpool fans, I told you he was a player,» while another declared: «Best midfielder in England.»
One final fan said: «Absolutely no way is Dewsbury Hall still at Leicester by the end of the transfer window..»
