The Kylian Mbappé (25) transfer saga finally looked to be reaching its conclusion on Sunday evening after Foot Mercato reported that Real Madrid had reached an agreement with the France captain. However, speaking to RMC Sport, Mbappé’s entourage have denied a pre-contract agreement with the La Liga side.
Foot Mercato reported that Mbappé had reached a pre-contract a pre-contract agreement to join Los Blancos, bringing an end to the long-standing pursuit, which was notably marked by Mbappé’s surprise decision to reject a move to the Spanish capital in favour of remaining with Paris Saint-Germainin the summer of 2022.
But Real Madrid finally looked to have their man. However, RMC Sport reported on Monday morning that if there was an agreement, PSG were not aware of it. The publication added that whilst Les Parisiens were “vigilant” amidst increased noise surrounding Mbappé’s future, the club had not been made aware of any pre-contract agreement.
Speaking to RMC Sport, Mbappé’s entourage have now dismissed reports of an agreement. “There is no agreement regarding Kylian’s future, just as there aren’t any discussions on this subject. In any case, no kind of influence can dictate the timing of Kylian’s discussions, thoughts or his decision,” responded Mbappé’s entourage.
PSG, according to The Athletic and L’Équipe are “optimistic” of renewing Mbappé’s current deal, which expires at the end of the season. The retort from Mbappé’s entourage could be interpreted positively by Les Parisiens.
