Kylian Mbappe sets transfer deadline after Mikel Arteta's Arsenal admission
PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe has insisted that he knows when his future beyond this season will be decided.
The French winger has been subject to plenty of speculation in recent months as he entered the final months of his contract with the Parisians. It is expected Mbappe will depart the club at the end of the season on a free transfer having not accomplished his goal of winning the Champions League.
Real Madrid are seen as the favourites to sign the 25-year-old but Mikel Arteta has expressed his desire to be in the mix to sign the forward for Arsenal. In February, he commented: «When there is a player of that calibre we always have to be in the conversation.
»I am not [in the conversations to sign Mbappe]! Maybe Edu [the sporting director] and the owners are, but I am not in those conversations until the last stage."
Liverpool were also thought to be interested in signing the winger but Jurgen Klopp has since admitted that Mbappe is out of their price range. With speculation swirling around him, the forward was asked by journalists on Friday for the latest on his future.
He responded: «I've nothing to announce… but I think my future will be resolved before the Euros.» The European Championships in Germany start on June 14 with the host nation facing Scotland in Munich.
