Whilst Angel Gomes will miss out on Lille OSC’s match against Olympique de Marseille on Friday, the Englishman has made a rapid recovery from a hamstring injury and could be in the squad to face Aston Villa on Thursday.
The Marseille clash comes too early for Gomes, however, Paulo Fonseca still has plenty of options at his disposal. Rémy Cabella and Adam Ounas are more than capable of playing in the No.10 position that Gomes has occupied in recent months, but L’Équipe understands that it will be Hákon Arnar Haraldsson who will take the role.
Fonseca isn’t expected to spring too many surprises, especially given LOSC’s comprehensive victory over RC Lens in last weekend’s Derby du Nord. Edon Zhegrova, one of the most in-form players in Ligue 1, netted a brace in that game and he will start once again on the right.
