Euan East insists he is relishing the pressure that comes with pulling on a Linfield shirt.
Signed from Queen of the South last month, the 23-year-old has already become a big favourite with Blues’ fans having formed an impressive partnership with Ben Hall in the heart of the defence.
Coming from Paisley in Scotland, East was aware he was arriving at a club with serious title-winning credentials – something he desperately wanted to be part of.
“When I was approached, I had no hesitation in joining Linfield, I knew how big a club it was,” he stated.

“I asked a few people who played in the League and they told me it was a massive club.
“I know there is pressure to win every game, but that’s the kind of pressure I like. I also know the club has a big connection with Rangers in Scotland. I lived in Paisley, which is not all that far from Ibrox.
“So, I knew all about the tradition of Linfield and how essential it is to win trophies. I knew what I was coming into.
“The club lost the League title last season, so it’s now a priority to get it back again.
