Former Liverpool star Takumi Minamino had plenty to say about his old team-mates at Anfield.
The attacking midfielder joined the Reds in a £7m deal in January 2020 from Red Bull Salzburg, where he'd enjoyed a successful run, scoring 64 goals and winning six Bundesliga titles in a row. Within months, he was a Premier League champion. However, his time at Liverpool was challenging, with manager Jurgen Klopp often choosing other players over him.
Despite this, the Japan international played a key role in the club's League Cup and FA Cup triumphs in 2022 - bagging four goals and one assist en-route to the final in the former, and netting three goals in four outings in the early rounds of the latter.

Former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch, who managed Minamino during his last years at Salzburg, revealed the squad player quickly became fond of his new team-mates on Merseyside. Speaking while the fan favourite was still at Anfield, Marsch told the ECHO's Blood Red Podcast: "He is a little quiet and he is not the most outgoing guy but he is a top, top class individual. He is happy [at Liverpool ] - he has talked about training being good and the guys being good guys.
"Taki will only turn up every day and do everything possible to try to improve. We've texted and checked in on different things. I give him a hard time about learning better English because I had to learn so much German. And now it's his turn to come to my side a little more. But he knows nothing will be given to him but he is willing to work for whatever - that's his mentality."
