Liverpool supporters have shared their mixed emotions with Fabinho on the cusp of leaving the club after he missed out on their pre-season training camp in Germany.
The midfielder was left out of the travelling squad and is on the brink of ending his successful five-year stay with the club, as previously reported by Mail Sport.
Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, managed by former Wolves and Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo, have made what is understood to be a significant bid and the Reds have opted to leave Fabinho on Merseyside while discussions over the sale continue.
According to The Telegraph, Fabinho was initially included in the party before eventually being omitted. He is said to be interested in taking up the new challenge in the Middle East and has reportedly already agreed lucrative personal terms.
Fabinho has been an integral performer under Jurgen Klopp since arriving from Monaco in 2018 and won the Premier League and Champions League at the club.
But now, ahead of his expected departure this summer, matchgoers have expressed their sadness, surprise and, in some quarters, delight with the shock development.
One supporter said on Twitter: 'Fabinho leaving stinks. I think he's important to a title charge this year. [Jordan] Henderson is really gonna regret trying to leave, too.'
