Mohamed Salah could miss some important games for Liverpool after the latest injury update on the forward.
Salah sustained a back injury while starring for Egypt against Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations last week. The 31-year-old was substituted in first-half stoppage time of the game, and now faces a spell on the sidelines in recovery.
It was confirmed on Sunday that Salah would return to Merseyside to begin his rehabilitation from the injury. It was confirmed by the Egyptian FA and Liverpool that Salah would return to feature for his country in the tournament once he has finished his treatment, provided Egypt remain in the competition.

On Monday, Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, provided an update on the injury. He confirmed that Salah could be on the sidelines for as long as four weeks to recover from the injury, which he described as "more serious than first thought".
Should this timeframe prove accurate, then Salah would miss several important matches for club and country. Salah will not be involved in Egypt's final group game against Cape Verde on Monday night before he will then return to Merseyside.
Egypt will qualify for the last-16 of the competition with a win over Cape Verde. There is also a chance of qualification should Egypt finish in third place in the group.
Should that happen, the last-16 stage will take place between January 27-30. From there, the quarter-finals will be played on February 2 and 3, with the semi-finals on February 7. The final of the tournament is being played on February 11, with the third-place game a day
