Former Liverpool duo Roberto Firmino and Fabinho have been spotted at Anfield to watch their old side face Newcastle.
The two left Liverpool in the summer to sign for clubs in the Saudi Pro League, with Firmino joining Al Ahli and Fabinho linking up with Al Ittihad.
And they are already back on Merseyside on the first day of 2024 to see the Reds in action.
Liverpool are taking on Newcastle at Anfield and could go three points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp has lost several key players in the summer including Firmino and Fabinho.
But his replacements are doing quite the job with Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo forming a new-look midfield.
The other midfield departure from Liverpool in the summer was Jordan Henderson, who moved to Al Ettifaq with Steven Gerrard.
However, the ex-Reds skipper was not in attendance with the Saudi Pro League on break.
The division had its last match before a month off at the weekend.
The Saudi Pro League will resume in February with Al Hilal leading the way.
