New Mamelodi Sundowns signing Thembinkosi Lorch has extended a heartfelt message to Orlando Pirates chairman, Dr Irvin Khoza after spending eight years in the club.
Lorch signed a three-year contract with Mamelodi Sundowns on the last day of the transfer window period last month.
The 30-year-old midfielder is lined up to make his debut for Sundowns when takes on the Buccaneers in the DStv premiership match at the Loftus Versfeld stadium on Saturday.

Lorch looks settled since arriving at Chloorkop last month and is ready to make his first official appearance in the Masandawana colors when they take on the Buccaneers in the DStv premiership match in Tshwane on Saturday.
“I want to take my former team Orlando Pirates, especially Dr Irvin Khoza for giving opportunity to play for a big team like Pirates. I remember I signed when was 22 years old and I left there when I was 30 (years old)”.
”So I am grateful for the opportunity he gave me. Pirates will always have a special place in my heart," Lorch told the media at Chloorkop today.
“I also want to thank the president of Mamelodi Sundowns for believing in me and bringing me into this beautiful team and am looking forward to giving my best to this team. I think the team welcomed me well. The spirit in the team is very good. Every player wants to play over the weekend because we playing Pirates, it’s a big team, it’s a big game.
”The coach will decide who will play, it’s up to the coach”.”It's difficult to play my first game, especially against my former team but in life we need to move on, hopeful to start over the weekend and do best for my team,” he added.
