Liverpool played out a thrilling 1-1 draw with Manchester City in the Premier League at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
John Stones gave Pep Guardiola's side a first-half lead on Merseyside as he was on hand to pounce on a well-worked corner routine from creator-in-chief Kevin De Bruyne. However, Alexis Mac Allister cancelled out the visitors' advantage five minutes into the second half as he slammed a penalty past Ederson, who had fouled Darwin Nunez in the box.
Phil Foden and Luis Diaz both had chances to win it for their side's in the second half but, ultimately, neither team could secure all three points and open up vital ground on one another at the top of the Premier League.
The result means it is Arsenal who will head into the final 10 games of the season at the top of the Premier League table, level on points with Liverpool but boasting a superior goal difference largely due to their resounding 6-0 victory over Sheffield United last week.
