Eagle Football Holdings is looking at the possibility of selling their 45% share in Crystal Palace according to a report by The Independent .
According to the paper, there have been internal talks exploring this option over the last two weeks, albeit these conversations remain informal and are not considered to have been held with outside parties.
It had been previously reported, by The Guardian , that there was friction between the owner of the holdings group, John Textor, and the Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish.
Textor was allegedly frustrated by the delays he faced when purchasing Olympique Lyonnais in December 2022 after Parish refused to let him change his shares in Palace to his holding company. This was a necessary requirement for the American businessman to complete his takeover of the French side, a move otherwise would have been blocked by the Premier League’s internal rules.
The delays are said to have added to previous tension between the two men over the direction of the English club, with The Guardian writing that Textor wanted Palace to show greater ambition in the transfer market.
