Tottenham are back in Premier League action this weekend as they welcome relegation-battling Luton Town to north London. Spurs will be looking to get a big three points on the board as they continue the battle for a place in the top four come the end of the season.
Of the teams currently in the race for the last Champions League spot, Spurs play first on Saturday afternoon, with Aston Villa facing Wolves in the early evening clash, and Manchester United travelling to Brentford for an 8pm kick-off the same day. As it stands, Spurs are three points behind Unai Emery's team with a game in hand, while Erik ten Hag's side are six points adrift of Spurs.
While there is plenty to look forward to, the international break is not over just yet, and there will be some hope and worries about those still in action over the next couple of days. While it goes without saying that Postecoglou will be hopeful of avoiding any further injuries (Rodrigo Bentancur has already revealed he has been playing through the pain of a broken toe for Spurs and Uruguay), it is not the only problem facing some of his players.
The likes of Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero will be in action for Argentina late on Tuesday evening in Los Angeles as they face Costa Rica, so the duo face a flight home on Wednesday morning. Son Heung-min will be in action in Bangkok for South Korea in their World Cup Qualifier against Thailand, hopeful of improving the on the 1-1 draw against the same opponents last time out.
There will be significant interest in Wales as Ben Davies, Brennan Johnson and on-loan Joe Rodon look to seal their place at this summer's Euro 2024 tournament. Rob Page's side take on Poland in a play-off final with club football far from their minds.
