Malik Scott has finally addressed the banter surrounding Kate Abdo and her on-screen chemistry with Thierry Henry. Social media often buzzes when the duo share the screen on CBS Sports, with fans playfully commenting on their chemistry.
The situation was further fuelled by Jamie Carragher's cheeky on-air quip to Abdo about her boyfriend. However, Scott has now spoken out in an interview with Inclave Casino, making it clear that jealousy isn't in his nature.
Henry famously raised eyebrows with his reaction upon learning Abdo was dating Scott, sparking a stream of light-hearted comments. Scott, a former professional boxer, is currently the coach of American heavyweight Deontay Wilder.
Speaking to Inclave Casino, the 43-year-old dismissed any feelings of insecurity. He said: «Some people might say what do you think about the jokes about Kate and Thierry? All of that stuff is all good man, I've never been a man who has been insecure in a relationship.
Scott added: „I don't know how to go about jealousy and things of that nature. I enjoy the show, the relationships, the love, and whatever makes the chemistry pop for the show, as long as Kate is not disrespected or irritated.“
Despite Abdo being in a male-dominated industry, Scott expressed he's comfortable with on-air banter about her personal life – as long as it remains respectful. The former boxer said: „I don't have insecurities or jealousy when someone I'm seeing is working around other men, as long as she's being respectful and she's being respected, I'm totally fine with it.“
