Man City predicted line-up vs Arsenal as Pep Guardiola set to make Kevin De Bruyne decision
It is arguably one of the biggest games of the season so far for both Arsenal and Manchester City as the two teams face each other at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
There is just one point separating Arsenal at the top of the table and City in third place. Liverpool are sandwiched between the two sides in second, behind Arsenal on goal difference. Jurgen Klopp’s men take on Brighton and Hove Albion just hours before Arsenal’s match.
City could welcome back some key players against the Gunners, despitesuffering a double injury blow ahead of the game.
Both goalkeeper Ederson and influential midfielder Kevin De Bruyne appear to be available after returning to training in recent days. Both players missed the FA Cup quarter-final win over Newcastle United, as well as sitting out the international break.
Manuel Akanji was a doubt after suffering a problem during the break, but Guardiola has confirmed that the centre-back should be available for selection. The same can’t be said for fellow defenders John Stones and Kyle Walker, who will miss the game after getting injured while representing England.
Youngster Rico Lewis could therefore replace Walker in the back line with Ruben Dias and Akanji forming a centre-back partnership and Nathan Ake taking his place at left back.
