The race for the Champions League took yet another twist as Newcastle thrashed Tottenham before Manchester United slipped up against Bournemouth.
Eddie Howe's Newcastle ran out 4-0 winners at St James' Park thanks to an Alexander Isak brace as well as goals from Anthony Gordon and Fabian Schar. It's a result which moved the Magpies up to sixth place and United's dire 2-2 draw at Bournemouth kept it that way because of the Red Devils' far worse goal difference.
Usually, only four teams from the Premier League qualify for the Champions League each season. However, this year it could be very different. That's because Europe's elite competition will increase from 32 to 36 clubs, with two nations due to contribute five clubs based on their league finish.
With all that in mind, here's look at the Champions League race in the Premier League as well as the coefficient latest from across Europe...
