Suddenly, just 28 days stand between Manchester United and their opening game of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Erik ten Hag's side, who welcomed the bulk of their international contingent back to Carrington for pre-season training over the weekend, will get their campaign up and running at home to Wolves on August 14. It has the potential to mark the beginning of another long and gruelling season for United, meaning they must be in the best possible shape ahead of the big kick-off.
United made a winning start to their pre-season preparations last Wednesday with a 2-0 win over Leeds United in Oslo and will take to the field again this Wednesday when they face Lyon in Edinburgh. United's players and coaching staff will then fly to the USA ahead of the opening game of their pre-season tour against Arsenal on Saturday evening.
In addition to the preparation work going on on the training ground, United's hierarchy are working hard behind the scenes to try and strengthen Ten Hag's squad. After landing Mason Mount almost a fortnight ago, they are now looking to wrap up their second signing of the summer.
