A number of Manchester United supporters mocked Arsenal fans for comparing Aaron Ramsdale to new signing Andre Onana after the former was guilty of making an error in the first half of Saturday's friendly in New Jersey.
Following a fairly even opening 30 minutes, United got their noses in front through a first goal of pre-season from Bruno Fernandes. The Portugal international, who was installed as the club's new permanent captain in midweek, fired home a fierce left-footed effort from distance.
Though it was a sweet strike from the former Sporting Lisbon ace, it was parried into the net by Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale, who had earlier made one or two questionable decisions when using his feet. The England shot-stopper, 25, saw a handful of passes go astray when attempting to pick out his teammates.
At the other end, United goalkeeper Tom Heaton had made a solid start to the game, proving excellent on the ball. He also made an excellent double save to thwart Gabriel Martinelli.

Heaton, through the eyes of some, was a surprise starter between the sticks at the MetLife Stadium, following the arrival of Onana. However, despite the Cameroonian taking part in the pre-match warm-up, he was not included in the matchday squad, meaning he will have to wait to make his Reds debut.
Onana has been brought to Old Trafford to replace David de Gea and bring a ball-playing element to United's play. He will bring a complete shift in style to the club and United's supporters are desperate to see him in action for the first time.
