According to Sports Zone, Sporting CP manager Rúben Amorim is interested in leaving Portugal and moving to an English club in the Premier League this summer. The former Braga coach’s agents, Antero Henrique and Raul Da Costa, are looking to secure Amorim a job in the English top flight.
The Sporting manager’s desire to move to England has alerted Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool, who would all be interested in his services, according to SZ. Liverpool are looking to replace Jurgen Klopp who is set to leave Anfield this summer and have already approached Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso to succeed the German, according to Foot Mercato.
Whilst the futures of Mauricio Pochettino and Erik Ten Hag at Chelsea and Manchester United respectively are under scrutiny, Amorim could be seen as a potential candidate to take one of the top jobs in England at the end of the season.
In the search for Klopp’s successor, Liverpool are considering Amorim. The Merseyside club appreciate the Portuguese manager and the club already has a positive relationship with his agents, according to Sports Zone.
