Though the season is still less than a month old, Hojlund has been joined on the sidelines by both Luke Shaw and Mount. United, at separate junctures, issued statements last week to confirm that the duo had sustained injuries following the 2-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.
It means United are now having to bear their absences in mind when finalising their recruitment plan ahead of Friday night's 11pm deadline. United are seeking cover for Shaw, who is set be out for 'a number of weeks', and they still want to beef up their midfield options - a mission they identified before Mount was assigned to the treatment room.
