Fred has now been at Manchester United for five years, but his time may finally be coming to an end.
This comes despite what some would say is Fred’s best form in a United shirt in a real resurgence under Erik ten Hag. He played in all but six games of the last Premier League season, being named in the starting XI 12 times and being substituted in on 23 occasions, and scored the most goals across all competitions of any season he’s played in Europe.
Now an experienced midfielder, the 30-year-old has had 10 seasons in Europe, and may not personally be looking to move elsewhere. However, United may give him little option.

The first problem the Reds have comes with his contract. At the end of the World Cup, United triggered a one-year option in Fred's contract to extend his stay with the club to stay until next summer, leaving the club with a few important months to find the right destination and the right price.
So if United want to sell for a little bit of money, the Galatasaray move that has been rumoured might well have to happen, even if United rejected the opening bid because the price was too low.
