Manchester United are poised to revive their interest in Juventus star Adrien Rabiot as a possible replacement for Donny van de Beek during the January transfer window - according to reports.
Van de Beek was expected to depart Old Trafford this summer after being unable to command regular game-time with the Premier League giants. The 26-year-old moved to United in 2020, and even a reunion with his former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag has done nothing to revive his fortunes.
As for Rabiot, meanwhile, United wanted him last summer, before he later penned a new contract with the Italian giants. However, that was only a one-season extension and the midfielder could soon be available.

The 28-year-old will be free to open discussions with clubs outside Italy from January and United have, once again, been linked with his signature. Reports from Calciomercato indicate United are "monitoring the situation" closely in the hope Rabiot might finally be willing to accept a new challenge in the Premier League.
Elsewhere, reports from Spanish publication Nacional - via the Football 365 website - suggest United are willing to weigh-up a potential swoop for Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry during the January transfer window. Gnabry, 28, played and scored for the Bundesliga champions against United recently.
His name has been mooted on the rumour mill before - with Nacional underlining that interest as United consider options to strengthen up on their right flank. Ten Hag is currently unable to select Antony and Jadon Sancho in the position and Gnabry is already well-known to the Premier League from his Arsenal days.
