Manchester United are reportedly undeterred in their pursuit of Brighton and Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson.
Last Friday, the Seagulls announced their teenage centre forward had signed a new contract keeping him at the club until the summer of 2029. MEN Sport understands United are keeping a watchful eye on his progress with a view to a future transfer.
According to Football Insider, United have not been fazed by this news and still remain keen on Ferguson. The report claims the Reds will continue to monitor the Republic of Ireland international closely and are hoping to make a move in the 'near future'.

Ferguson has bagged five goals so far this season for Brighton and he has been tipped to become one of the Premier League's best strikers in the years to come.
Elsewhere, United are believed to be battling it out with Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle for Real Betis' Assane Diao.
The 18-year-old left winger is highly regarded at the La Liga club and has managed to score six goals in all competitions so far this campaign. Estadio Deportivo reports that this form has caught the eye of the aforementioned English clubs who are looking to bolster their forward options.
United and Liverpool have been described as being 'well positioned' as they look to make a move for the youngster but Chelsea and Newcastle have now entered talks with his agent. Meanwhile, the Seville club are trying desperately to secure a new deal for Diao given his current contract contains a reported €30m release clause. It is understood the Spanish team would want to see said clause increased to €40m.
