Manchester United midfielder Dan Gore has spoken about his loan move to Port Vale and why he chose the League One side as his home for the rest of the season.
A number of clubs, including Preston and Bolton Wanderers, had expressed an interest during this month's transfer window in taking the 19-year-old on board, but - with guidance from his father - it was the Potteries side that won the day and he could make his debut this weekend against Portsmouth.
The MEN reported yesterday how United had agreed on Port Vale as Gore's destination because of the way they play and their support system for young players.

He said: "Well, I think from the first time I've come here to see the place and meet everyone, I just knew straight away. Because I got a feeling it's just like a family. Everyone was very welcoming.
"I've obviously seen Port Vale play and they play very good football.
"My dad was shocked. He was like: 'Son, you've got to go there'. He just knew they'd take care of me and obviously, at this stage of my career, I need that because I'm still developing. He knew, straight away, he got the best feeling from here."
Gore is friends with Vale's Manchester-born midfielder Tommy McDermott, who also urged him to agree to the switch, and he'll also see familiar faces there in the guise of ex-Reds Tom Sang and James Wilson.
"Tommy said definitely go, it'll be the best experience for you," added Gore. "You'll develop really well.
"I can guarantee hard work and determination to do everything for the badge; to do our best to try to get the three points in every game. The most important thing is winning.
