Mauricio Pochettino is not concerned whatsoever with his Chelsea players' attitude after being asked about potentially being replaced by Jose Mourinho.
In the Blues' draw with Brentford last weekend, Mourinho's name was being chanted by some Chelsea supporters, just before the "**** off Mauricio" song started. Mourinho managed the club on two occasions and won eight major honours, including three Premier League titles, in the process.
Mourinho has been without a job since being sacked by AS Roma earlier in the year and has been linked with replacing Pochettino, who continues to be under pressure as Blues head coach. Chelsea's plan remains to review Pochettino and his situation at the end of the current season, football.london understands.
Rather bluntly, Pochettino was asked whether he believed Mourinho could do a better job than he was currently doing, and the Chelsea head coach said: «Look I respect Jose, he is my friend. He was amazing for this club, his medals, here are amazing.
»Circumstance is circumstance. We need to be pushing and believe in us and accept the things that come from the fans, it is of course respect the fans."
