There have been a number of false starts in the past year or so when it comes to Chelsea launching a new era of dominance in the Premier League. From the takeover last year, there would have been hopes of success for Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter, but both would not last long in the hot seat.
Interim managerial roles for Bruno Saltor and Frank Lampard failed to see an uptick of form, so when Mauricio Pochettino was hired in the summer, there was a feeling things may change. The Argentinian coach had a history of developing exciting, young teams with Southampton and Tottenham, while developing a winning streak at PSG.
While some performances have been positive,it's fair to say that the start to life at Stamford Bridge has not been ideal for Pochettino. From almost a full team of injuries to constant arrivals, poor finishing to unfortunate decisions, the results just have not quite been there.
