Mikel Arteta already knows £50m Joshua Zirkzee transfer truth as first January deal confirmed

Arsenal bossMikel Arteta has a number of January transfer targets on his radar in the hopes he can bring at least one of them to Emirates Stadium. Amadou Onana of Everton was a name that emerged earlier this week with Dominic Solanke, Jeremie Frimpong and several others being linked with a winter switch to the Gunners.

The latest player reportedly of interest to Arsenal is Bologna's Joshua Zirkzee, formerly of Bayern Munich, after an impressive start to the season which has seen him score eight goals in 22 games. The Gunners are in desperate need of a new defender to help alleviate their injury issues, however many want a striker brought in imminently.

Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are the two natural options available to Arteta, however the latter is once again out with a knee injury. As a result, Zirkzee is one option being looked at by Arsenal, according to The Telegraph, but doing any major business in January appears to be a challenge.
