Arsenal aren't expected to splash the cash in the January transfer window, yet there is still plenty of life in the rumour mill. The Gunners have been heavily linked with several big names this month, including the likes of Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen and Bruno Guimaraes.
The Premier League are clamping down on finance-related rule breaks, so if Arsenal want some new faces at London Colney then they may need to offload some players. Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe, in particular, face uncertain futures, with the former still out injured and the latter now back from the treatment room
With that being said, the north Londoners have just a few days left to wrap up any business before the window slams shut. So, football.london has taken a look at some of the biggest Arsenal stories on Sunday, January 28.
Arsenal could finally be about to complete their first January transfer now a £24million agreement is in place. Galatasaray star Sacha Boey was one option for Arsenal in the summer and he has been linked with an exit this month.
However, Bayern Munich have been the interested party this time round and after some tense negotiations that deal has been finalised with Boey joining for €29million (£24.8m). Earlier in the window, the German champions had been in negotiations to sign Nordi Mukiele on loan from Paris Saint-Germain however that move now looks unlikely.
As a result, with PSG's stance on allowing the Frenchman to depart temporarily very clear, the Gunners have been given the perfect chance to swoop in and sign him for the remainder of the season.
