Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo injury latest as Jurgen Klopp shares mixed Liverpool update
Mohamed Salah will miss Liverpool’s trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday - but Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai are in contention after returning to team training.
Salah and Nunez haven’t featured since the Reds’ 4-1 win at Brentford two weeks ago while Szoboszlai has been sidelined since the end of January with a recurrence of a hamstring injury.
Speaking ahead of his side’s trip to Forest, manager Jurgen Klopp revealed that Salah could return to team training next week, while also confirming that Nunez and Szoboszlai have both stepped up their recoveries from injury ahead of possible comebacks.
“Darwin and Dom trained yesterday with the team,” he said. “They looked good, we have to wait to see how they react.

“I don’t think Mo is too far off, but he will not feature tomorrow. From there, we have to go. It’s like what we said with the other two. Touch and go, unfortunately that stays the case with Mo for a little bit longer.
“But I think next week, at any point, it is possible. So he is on the way back, definitely, but not there yet.”
Klopp also confirmed that Wataru Endo and Andy Robertson are scheduled to return to training on Friday after missing the midweek win over Southampton through injury and illness respectively.
“Wataru and Robbo didn’t (train yesterday), but the plan is they join in today,” he said. “That’s the idea but we have to see if that really works out.
“Ibou (Konate), it was nothing. Just time-sharing. Lucho (Diaz) is fine. Macca (Alexis Mac Allister) is fine. They all look fine.”
