Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has snubbed his club team-mate Andre Onana as he tipped who will become the best goalkeeper in the world.
Onana has had a mixed season at Old Trafford since he was chosen by Erik ten Hag to replace David de Gea at Old Trafford last summer.
The Cameroonian shot-stopper had a shaky start to the season for the Red Devils, though he has recovered some form after a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations campaign where he conceded three goals in his only outing.
Another goalkeeper who had been linked with the Red Devils last summer was Porto and Portugal No 1 Diogo Costa.
Dalot believes that his international team-mate has the ability to become the best goalkeeper in the world and make the leap to a top European club.
He told Sport TV, as per the Mirror: 'I think [Costa] is already more than ready for this leap [to a top European club], which will happen when he decides, whenever.
'I've had the opportunity to tell him several times that he has that ability and for me he will be the best goalkeeper in the world soon.
'He's already one of the best and that's why I believe he has that potential, that future. In addition to being a great friend, he is a great goalkeeper and I look forward to seeing what he will do in the future.'
Costa, 24, has already made 146 appearances for Porto and 19 for Portugal.
The Porto keeper had been asked by reporters about a move to Old Trafford last summer, before United opted for Onana.
He downplayed a move to Old Trafford, stating: 'That's the internet. It is a happiness and an honour to play for my favourite club.
'What they say is what they say, there is nothing concrete. I have a contract until 2027 and I hope to continue, let's see.'
