Mohamed Salah has seemingly responded to transfer speculation linking Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson with a move to Saudi Arabia.
The England international, who has two years left on his Anfield contract, is said to be leaning towards making the move to the Saudi Pro League and linking up with former team-mate Steven Gerrard at Al Ettifaq after reportedly being offered a deal worth £700k a week.
Should the 33-year-old make the switch, with a decision expected either way before the end of the week, he will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and former Reds team-mate Roberto Firmino in moving to the Gulf State. But Henderson would face far more scrutiny if he did complete such a transfer, given his status as an LGBTQI+ ambassador in European football and considering homosexuality is illegal in Saudi Arabia.
Reports linking Henderson with the move ramped up on Wednesday, with the Athletic reporting last night that the midfielder was leaning towards accepting the move.

And in the face of such speculation, but admittedly before the latest report, Salah shared an update featuring his captain on his Instagram channel.
Uploading a picture of himself with Henderson, walking out for training at the AXA Training Centre, the Egyptian tagged his captain the update which was shared on his Instagram story on Wednesday evening. Later shared by the England international himself onto his own channels, it was one of three pictures posted by Salah and the only one to directly feature a team-mate.
