According to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, Mohamed Salah (31) will say yes to Al Ittihad, if the Saudi club find an agreement with Liverpool.
As reported by Foot Mercato, earlier on transfer deadline day, Salah will not be in Jeddah today – contrary to reporting elsewhere. However, that doesn’t mean that the Liverpool winger’s move to the Gulf State is off. The player himself is reportedly set to accept a move to the Saudi club if an agreement is struck between the two clubs.
The contract offered to the Egyptian would run until June 2027, whilst he would also receive an extra three years of image rights for an ambassadorial role. The contract would be worth $500/600m, according to Foot Mercato. However, an agreement needs to be found between Al Ittihad and Liverpool.
It was reported by The Athletic that Liverpool rejected a verbal offer from the Saudi Pro League worth up to £150m, including add-ons.
