Musical superstar MIKA and famous pianist Lang Lang enjoyed a night at Anfield Stadium last night watching Liverpool FC play.
The stars were in Liverpool on the back of filming with Claudia Winkleman for the second season of channel 4 show The Piano. Claudia and her crew were in Lime Street Station to film a portion of the series, which sees amateur pianists from all over the country show off their skills.
Lime Street Station was filled with eager spectators, who were able to watch the filming taking place, including performances from members of the public as well as interviews Claudia had with the amateur musicians after they finished playing.

Behind the scenes, the pair watched the amateur pianists performing before making the difficult decision on who will progress in the show. Once the filming was over, the singer and the pianist headed to Anfield to watch Liverpool FC beat Southhampton 3-0.
The pair travelled to the match with Bake Off and The Piano creator Richard McKerrow and other key executives. Visiting Anfield Stadium was a first for Mika, 40, who said: “My first time in this mythical stadium was such a heartwarming experience. And the reaction to Trey Nyoni when he came out was just amazing to witness.”
Lang Lang, 41, echoed Mika’s sentiments, adding: “It’s amazing to be at Anfield, to feel the incredible energy and to see new talent on the field playing magnificently.
"And the best was the fans who have the quality of the world’s best choir.”
