Newcastle sign Lewis Hall from Chelsea

Newcastle United have completed the signing of teenage defender Lewis Hall from Chelsea.

The deal takes the form of an initial loan, but there will be an obligation for Newcastle to make it a permanent transfer next summer based on certain performance criteria.

revealed last week that Chelsea wanted £30m for the 18-year-old, who made 11 first-team appearances last season.

He will now wear the number 20 shirt at Newcastle most recently occupied by Chris Wood.
