According to Actu.fr , Ousmane Dembélé (26) has been withdrawn from Paris Saint-Germain’s squad to face Montpellier HSC this evening after the winger suffered from a punctured eardrum earlier in the day.
Dembélé travelled with the squad to Montpellier during the morning, but soon after complained of acute pain in his ear. Reportedly the PSG medical staff preferred to contact the emergency services instead of treating the winger in-house.
A team of doctors were then dispatched from the Montpellier University Hospital and the winger is now being looked after. It’s clear that he will play no part in the game later tonight, as PSG search for their first victory in Ligue 1 since the 17th of February against the relegation strugglers.
However, what this situation means for his position in the French team in next weekend’s international friendlies is far less certain . Dembélé is meant to be reporting for training with the France team tomorrow.
