Paris Saint-Germain could look to fill the void left in attack by Kylian Mbappé’s (25) impending departure to Real Madrid, by attempting to prize one of the Spanish giant’s key assets away from the club in the summer.
Les Parisiens look to have cast a wide net in their search to replace Mbappé, with the club having been linked to a glittering array of stars such as Victor Osimhen, Rafael Leão, Luis Díaz, and even Marcus Rashford.
However, according to Cadena Ser , their search could lead them back to the club that have created their attacking dilemma, with the French side highly interested in trying to steal Rodrygo (23) from the Spanish capital.
There are some obvious issues facing PSG if they hope to progress with this transfer. Real Madrid are not a selling club, and they appear keen to keep all their attacking pieces together despite the incoming arrivals of Mbappé and Endrick (17).
Unlike with the purchase of Neymar from Barcelona, PSG are highly unlikely to activate his release clause which currently stands at €1 billion. The player is also under contract until 2028 and remains unmoved by the threat to his position in the team by the incoming signings .
The final issue facing PSG is that the club are not alone in their interest, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal all said to be intrigued by the prospect of signing Rodrygo.
