Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson believes that Chelsea's signing of Moises Caicedo means they will pip Liverpool to a place in this season's Premier League top four.

To make matters worse, the West London club then provided confirmation on Monday that they had won the battle to sign Caicedo from Brighton for £115m ahead of Liverpool. This prompted Merson to speak out with a blunt prediction for the campaign ahead.
