Paul Pogba potential four-year ban hands Tottenham perfect Juventus transfer deal
Juventus are rumoured to be considering a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. An ever-present under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, the Danish midfielder has found life difficult so far under Ange Postecoglou.
Hojbjerg is yet to start a Premier League game under the new manager, with his sole appearance in the line-up coming in the Carabao Cup defeat to Fulham. Yves Bissouma’s resurgence has seen him partnered with summer recruit Pape Matar Sarr during the early stages of the
Postecoglou also removed Hojbjerg from the Spurs leadership group shortly after his arrival — an indication that his future may lie elsewhere. When asked about doing exactly that in August, the Tottenham boss played down suggestions of a rift and claimed a fresh impetus was needed.
“You can’t keep doing everything the same and expect a different outcome,” Postecoglou said. “It’s pretty obvious. I’ve always done that wherever I’ve gone. Unless I change things, personnel or staff, or manner of playing, then what am I doing? I’m definitely not that arrogant to think that just me walking in is going to give us success.
“He (Hojbjerg) trains really hard every day. I haven’t seen that it (removing him from the leadership group) has diminished his role or that he’s not happy.”

But Serie A insider Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed Juventus could provide an escape route for the 28-year-old in January. Hojbjerg only has 18 months remaining on his current deal but it is thought the Italian giants would prefer a loan move, with much depending on Paul Pogba’s possible ban.
