As the happy news broke that football ace Kyle Walker had become a dad for the sixth time – it is his fourth child with estranged wife Annie Kilner – friends said Annie was considering taking her new baby and three other sons to Manchester City's home game against Real Madrid last night as 'a show of solidarity'.
Thankfully she stayed home. What madness that would have been just days after giving birth. She and Kyle no longer even live together. So what was she thinking? A show of solidarity with a serial cheater who has fathered two with on-off girlfriend Lauryn Goodman? With a husband who can't tell the difference between the merits of scoring on the pitch and scoring with another woman in bed?
You can, of course, understand why Annie, Kyle's childhood sweetheart, wants to keep things together for their kids. And why friends are rallying behind her in this endeavour, saying the couple are 'overjoyed' at the arrival of their new son - and that Kyle was with her at her bedside when she gave birth, holding her hand.
But there's no escaping the fact he's an out and out cad. They're living apart because Annie booted him out when she discovered last Christmas he had secretly fathered a second child with Lauryn – while she was pregnant!
And all the time he was denying he'd had any contact with Lauryn, despite secretly housing her and their kids in a £2.5million seaside mansion. Unbelievable.
In the infidelity stakes it doesn't get much worse than that. Just think of all the pain his constant betrayals have caused Annie and their young family.
