Calm on the ball at the back. A couple of strong moments as City poured forward. Didn’t look overawed.

Big intervention early doors to thwart Phil Foden and completed another last-ditch challenge to save the Reds.

Shaky start up against Phil Foden before growing into the game. Kept things simple and markedly improved.
Dominik Szoboszlai - 6
Dangerous runs from deep, heading over a decent chance before the break. Still needs minutes after injury.
Wataru Endo – 7.5
Smart display despite City getting joy through the middle. Often in the way of Kevin De Bruyne’s progress.
Alexis Mac Allister – 7
Quiet until the expert penalty, straight into Ederson’s right-hand corner. Began demanding the ball more.
