Virgil van Dijk has admitted he is dreading Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool this summer.
The German announced in January that he would step down as Reds manager at the end of the season after nine seasons at Anfield. Assistant managers Pep Lijnders and Peter Krawietz, and elite development coach Vitor Matos are also all set to vacate their roles.
Liverpool have already waved off a number of club legends who have won every major honour with the club in recent years, with Jordan Henderson, Roberto Firmino, James Milner, and Fabinho following in the footsteps of the likes of Sadio Mane, Divock Origi, and Gini Wijnaldum last summer.
But Klopp’s own departure will be accompanied by a whole new level of emotion, with Van Dijk admitting he will find it difficult to say goodbye to the man who brought him to Anfield in a club-record £75m deal in January 2018.

“I am quite an emotional person and I always find it very difficult to say goodbye to someone,” he said. “That will certainly be the case now.
“It's not just the manager who goes, it's more people. Pepijn (Lijnders), an important person in the staff and I could go on and on.
“Saying goodbye is not something I am looking forward to, but we can make it very nice by winning prizes together.
“That's the way life is. You see each other at the club almost daily and even more often than your own wife and children. You experience highlights together, but also difficult moments.
“That creates a bond that is very close, especially at a club like Liverpool, one big family.
“And then after a few years it's suddenly over.
