Pochettino reveals Chelsea injury updates for Man Utd game
Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge and gave an update on squad news concerning injuries to several players.
The Blues boss commented that Trevoh Chalobah, Carney Chukwuemeka, Robert Sanchez and Malo Gusto, who was out with a hamstring problem in the game against Burnley, have returned to training and will be available for the game. "Trevoh and Malo trained with us.They will be ready to be in the squad."
England full-back Ben Chilwell will be absent due to illness. "Chilly (Chilwell)? No, we didn't see him since Friday because the doctor removed a lot of fluid from his knee. Saturday, he got ill. Monday, Tuesday and today, he's not here. He's at home," said Pochettino.
Injured Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu remain out for the Stamford Bridge outfit, although the most worrying is Christopher Nkunku, who the Argentine coach confirmed is not yet expected. "At the moment, we don't know when it's possible to start training with the team. I have no information. He is recovering. It's longer than we expected."
