The two worst performing teams so far this season in Serie A meet when Salernitana host Sassuolo on matchday 31 of the Italian domestic championship at the Arechi Stadium, kick-off at 20:45 CEST.
The 'Granata', who recently signed Stefano Colantuono as their fourth coach of the season after sacking Fabio Liverani, will be looking to get back to winning ways after a 13-match winless streak. Colantuono's side have yet to win in 2024, their last victory coming on 30 December against Hellas Verona.
For their part, the 'Neroverdi' are also in danger of relegation but are in better recent form than their rivals, having lost just one game in their last three. In fact, Davide Ballardini said the match is "important but not decisive" and said their opponents are a very dangerous team especially in front of their home fans.
Salernitana possible starting XI: Costil; Pierozzi, Manolas, Boateng, Pellegrino; Tchaouna, Sambia, Coulibaly, Bradaric; Candreva and Simy.
Sassuolo possible starting XI: Consigli; Toljan, Tressoldi, Ferrari, Doig; Boloca, Henrique; Defrel, Thorstvedt, Castillejo and Pinamonti.
