Ange Postecoglou has made some big decisions with his Tottenham Hotspur squad in recent months as has chairman Daniel Levy and the club.
The Australian has led a revamp at Spurs with the departure of the club's all-time top goalscorer Harry Kane as part of 11 players heading out of north London, either permanently or on loan. Seven players have come in the door at Tottenham as Postecoglou has completely changed the way the team is playing with exciting, attacking football, all trained each day by a brand new coaching staff that he had never previously worked with.
When the English transfer window closed, Postecoglou gave football.london his thoughts on the squad he had been left with.
"When you go through these things you always understand that there are so many moving parts that I think you rarely come out of it with an ideal picture but that doesn't mean it isn't a picture that can still work," he said.
"We've still done a fair bit in a short space of time. When you look at the team we have got now, we virtually changed half the starting line-up, the way we play, the way we train, totally new coaching staff and training. It was never going to be one window this rebuild. Where we sit at the moment I'm really happy with the players we've brought in."
Since then, Postecoglou has sanctioned the exits of Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele, permanently and on loan respectively, to Galatasaray while Hugo Lloris' future remains undecided.
