Mauricio Pochettino is set to once again rely upon the youthful talent in his Chelsea squad when the Blues take on Brighton at the Lincoln Field Stadium in Philadelphia. The Premier League Summer Series gets underway on Saturday with Chelsea also set to take on Newcastle and Fulham before the month is out.
The Blues played with a team that had seven players 20 or younger and six who had never made a senior appearance for Chelsea before, with the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk, Levi Colwill and Noni Madueke not even in the squad. It seems those players will have a limited role if any at all on Saturday night.
Pochettino noted that he was planning to continue using his full squad throughout the pre-season tour.
He said: «No, we’re going to mix also. Still we have players who need time to train, several like Enzo only arrived on Monday. After a long period of holidays. We play Brighton on Saturday. It's not because we're going to play a Premier League team I need to play with senior players.
»We need to care about the players, we need to provide the best tools for him to arrive in the best condition when we start the Premier League. I am going to continue the young players the possibility to play on Saturday and the next few games."

The Blues could rotate goalkeepers versus Brighton with Kepa Arrizabalaga and Eddie Beach waiting in the wings, while Lucas Bergstrom will hope for more minutes after Jamie Cumming started against Wrexham.
