New Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino could be handed a boost to his transfer warchest this summer if the club are to move on midfielder Conor Gallagher.
The Cobham academy graduate continues to be linked with an exit this summer as a huge rework of the central ranks continue to develop. The Blues have already confirmed exits for the likes of Jorginho, N'Golo Kane, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in recent weeks.
With hopes of bolstering their midfield, the west London outfit remain locked in talks to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton as football.london understands the youngster is a top priority. On top of that pair, Southampton's Romeo Lavia and Lyon's Rayan Cherki also remain linked with a move, with few options currently available to Pochettino. Enzo Fernandez and Gallagher remain the only two senior first-team options, with Carney Chukwuemeka, Andrey Santos and Cesare Casadei all unsure of where their development could be this season.
They could all get chances if there are gaps opening for them to gain playing time, one of which could come from a potential exit for Gallagher. The England international has an uncertain future at the club this summer, despite featuring under the new boss in pre-season.
